Target Market Determination (TMD)
Effective from 5th October 2021, as part of Design and Distribution Obligations under Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019, we will include Target Market Determinations for Acerta retail insurance products.
What is a Target Market Determination?
A TMD is a document created by Guild Insurance that sets out:
- who is in our target market and who the product is not designed for;
- any distribution conditions and restrictions for this product;
- review periods and events that may trigger a review;
- reporting obligations of our distributors

TMDs support our commitment to meet the needs of our customers by designing products that are consistent with the likely objectives, financial situation and needs of the customers for whom they are intended, i.e. our target market.
